The Academy Uniform 

 

Jumper
Black V-neck jumper with the Academy logo (optional item).  No plain black jumpers will be allowed

Shirt
Plain white formal collared shirt buttoned to the neck (long or short sleeved) and worn tucked in all times.

Trousers
Plain black tailored/smart dress type trousers (denim/jean or jean style, skinny, drainpipe, hipster, bootleg or combat style trousers are not allowed). Trousers must not have any studs, chains, visible zips or tassels attached and should not be tight fitting at the ankle. Trousers must have tailored internal pockets.

Skirt
Academy skirt only (available from Pinders). Skirts will be available in all waist sizes, but a minimum length of 22 inches will be expected. All skirts need to touch the knee when worn (24 and 26 inch length skirts are available).  See Pg 5 for further details

Belt
Plain black (large and/or coloured belts or buckles are not allowed).

Socks
Black above the ankle.

Shoes
Plain flat black shoes that have black soles, black stitching and black laces. Black shoes with brown soles are not allowed and they must have a full leather upper. Black shoes with coloured bows or buckles are not allowed (including all Vivienne Westwood style shoes)- all attachments must be black.  Patent leather is allowed but suede is not. Doc Martins will not be permitted due to yellow stitching/sole. Kickers shoes are allowed.

Lanyard
Student ID lanyards are to be worn throughout the day , with the exception of during practical PE sessions.

House Badge
The House Badge is to be worn on the left upper lapel of the blazer at all times. No other badges will be permitted.

Physical Education

All students are expected to participate in PE. Suitable PE kit should be brought to every lesson. The PE kit is available to purchase from Pinders. Students not participating in PE/ Dance will still be required to take part in the lesson in a non-practical way such as a coach or umpire, they are required to bring a medical note to explain why they are medically excused from PE. Refusal to get changed will be classed as defiance and the appropriate behaviour points will be allocated.

• Shin pads for football and hockey.
