National Association for Special Educational Needs
Dear Families of Year 7 - 9 students
We are delighted to be taking part in a research project with the National Association for Special Educational Needs (NASEN), Education Endowment Fund (EEF) and Manchester University which will support developing even better provision for all students nationally, as well as those with special educational needs and disabilities.
As part of this research, your child will take a 'Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire' (SDQ) which comprises of around 25 questions with Yes/No answers and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. This questionnaire will be done in September and then again in July 2021. There is also a DVD to explain the questionnaire.
Working alongside these partners will help us to further improve our support and challenge for all students as well as providing nationally recognised training opportunities for staff.
Please download a Parent Information Sheet to provide further details which has a form to complete should you decide that your child should not take part.
Thank you very much for your continued support.
