'Our Success Story'

Welcome to Maltby Academy - a secondary school of 1150 students which continues to go from strength to strength. I am incredibly proud of all we have achieved over recent years and look forward to the next phase of our exciting journey.  I have the privilege of working with highly talented and committed staff to deliver an outstanding education for all students in the Maltby learning community.

Since our Academisation in 2010, the school has experienced a transformation beyond all recognition.  Our results have continued to improve at a pace and have been placed well above the National Average in most indicators over recent years. The Academy has opened the doors of a brand new 'state of the art' building which contains the very latest specialist facilities that support outstanding teaching and continues to inspire our learners. The community sports facilities include a sports hall, fitness suite, activity studio and full size 3G football pitch. The sixth form numbers continue to grow, recruiting young adults from both within and beyond the Maltby catchment area. In the Sixth Form we strive to secure success for all our students. Each year Maltby students progress onto higher education and secure much sought after apprenticeships with well-respected local and national businesses.

Working together we have certainly succeeded in building an ambitious future for all our young people.

'Trust In Maltby'

The Maltby Learning Trust (MLT) developed out of the successful collaborative work across the Maltby Learning Community and the exceptional achievements at Maltby Academy, which has achieved record exam results every year for the past 10 years. At the last section 5 OFSTED inspection Maltby Academy was commended for its outstanding leadership and awarded National Support School Status in March 2012. More recently the Academy has had a subject inspection in Mathematics and was graded outstanding across all areas (February 2014).

We believe we have the capacity and the experience in the Trust to inspire children, young people and staff and bring about rapid and sustained improvement for the benefit of all in the local learning community.

Maltby Learning Trust is a multi-academy sponsor and the 'Family of Schools' currently comprises of six schools who work together to ensure that all children and young people receive an outstanding education. We relish the opportunity to be part of the much needed regeneration of all areas we work in and wish to play a full role in the wider community.
