We have received information regarding a large scale WhatsApp group called ‘The World Record Chat’ which is adding young people to the group chat. This group contains over 900 members and includes adults and children and we are aware of young people as young as Years 5 and 6 who have been recently added. 

This group has members who are posting explicit, pornographic images and GIFs and are using indecent and inappropriate language including sexual, discriminatory, racist and homophobic language as well as encouraging self-harm. They are asking questions of children about their age and where they live. 

Please continue to monitor your child's devices and online interactions.
