Year 7 students had a fantastic day at Barnsley Museum for a Mining Experience. They explored the museum and were able to discover the history of Barnsley.  

Students also had the chance to examine genuine mining artefacts and visit the archives to dissect maps of Barnsley over the years and spotting the changes between the time.  The trip finished by visiting the 'Kes' statue that has recently been unveiled in Barnsley town centre.
